Happy Holidays - Closed Monday December 25th

Winterize your property.

Help prevent frozen pipes from ruining your holiday fun by taking some proactive steps.

  1. Wrap exposed outdoor pipes with insulation.
  2. Drain and turn off the water line to your evaporative cooler, drain the water pan and cover until the spring.
  3. If you leave your property vacant you have a couple options to avoid frozen pipes.  Leave the thermostat between 50-55 degrees or turn off the water at our meter customer shut off valve and leave a faucet slightly on in a sink to allow for the water to expand as it freezes in the pipes.

Protecting Our Infrastructure

Hi-Desert Water District is fortunate to have skilled employees that do a lot of specialized maintenance and improvements in house, saving money on projects helps to keep water rates low.  We are always looking for ways to save money and do what we can with the many talents of the employees we have.  Fence work is one example of how our employees work daily to protect our water system and do it efficiently.  Having in house crews do the fences saves money for our customers.

Slow down when you see orange.

Slow down when you see orange

Hi-Desert Water District crews maintain both water and sewer lines in the street.  This often involves working in the middle or side of the roadway.  This can be dangerous because of the traffic.  We appreciate your patience and ask that you drive slow and safely by orange cones and road work signs.

Remember to slow down in construction zones.
