Hi-Desert Water District (HDWD) offers a robust education program to further students' understanding of water and wastewater issues in our service area. We provide a variety of grade-appropriate curriculum and tours, participate in educational events and supply materials to teachers of all grade levels.
We encourage teachers to look into the EnviroBus Buck Transportation Grant Program through Mojave Environmental Education Consortium to apply for field trip transportation grants.
Mojave Water Agency, Bighorn Desert View Water Agency & Joshua Basin Water District
Each May, HDWD partners with Mojave Water Agency, Bighorn Desert View Water Agency and Joshua Basin Water District to provide interactive water and wastewater educational activities to 8th graders at La Contenta Middle School at the Annual Water Education Festival.
